Role at company: Area Supervisor
Direct quote from the employee: "The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today."

What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
What motivates me to wake up and go to work is our staff. They are like my second family. Also, that I get to be outside most of my day and knowing that every day brings new challenges.

What do you do at our company?
I am an area supervisor at the Mississauga East location.

What has been your favorite project so far?
My favorite project so far has been the huge snowfall in January 2022. I haven't had many big projects put in my hands since I became an area supervisor at this location in May 2022. To me that was a HUGE PROJECT to say the least!!!

What's something most people don't know about you?
Something most people don't know about me is I LOVE DOGS! Actually, most people know that. Prior to Landscaping I was a Hairdresser (in my 20's). Did I mention I love dogs!

How do you balance your career and your family/personal life?
How I balance my work life and personal life is simple. I leave work at work once I leave the office/yard. I make sure I have a few hours to myself every day at home. I do struggle on occasion especially in the winter months.

What advice would you give to other woman in the industry?
Advise I would give other woman in this industry is never forget you can do anything anyone else can't and don't ever let anyone tell you or make you feel like you can't. Stay positive and support other women new to the industry.

What does a typical day of work look like for you?
A typical day for me is in the mornings I make sure all the crews have what they need to fulfill their daily tasks, and make sure they know what needs to be done on the properties they are going to that day. I then go out and check sites that were serviced the day prior and note anything that was missed, then check the next day's properties and note what needs to be done. I communicate this information with the crews at the end of the day. I also check on crews during the day to see if there's anything they need or if they need extra hands to speed them up a bit. I have no problem with helping where I'm needed. Whatever is needed of me I'm there!

What are three words you would use to describe Clintar?
Three words to describe Clintar are Rewarding, Challenging, Flexible, and Family like. I added one.

What do you find most rewarding/challenging about your role?
I find my daily duties most rewarding. Going home knowing that I did my job to the best of my ability. Also, the people I work with make my job rewarding. The challenging part is having to be a counselor on occasion.

If given a chance, who would you be for a day?
If I could be someone for a day it would have been Marilyn Bell of course. She swam across Lake Ontario. As a kid I always said I was going to swim across Lake Ontario.

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
If I could interview one person, it would be my dad. My dad and I have never been close, and I don't know a whole lot about him, so it would be interesting to know about his life growing up since he grew up in Germany.

What would you like to be famous for?
If I could be famous for something it would be to own the largest dog rescue ranch in the entire world!

What inspires/motivates you?
What inspires me and motivates me is people being happy, smiling, having fun, getting along, loving life, loving each other. I know it sounds silly, but I love love. I love seeing people succeed, doing good, and most of all being themselves in this crazy world we live in.
